The organic wellness site seeks solution to several problems simultaneously. Promoting a healthy lifestyle the space first and foremost is about humanities existence integrated with nature. The design is not a simple spatial layout but a synthesized system of energy flows. Addressing healthy diets and sustainable farming practice, the space acts as a prototypical model for how a diverse range of organic food may be grown locally, eliminating the economic and environmental costs associated with agricultural transportation. By utilizing aquaponics, the farms create a closed loop system for the production of nutritious vitamin rich fruits and vegetables and healthy low-fat aquatic protein. Enclosed within the greenhouse, this system will be capable of creating a reliable source of natural produce in nearly any region. The vegetative systems will serve to mediate the physical environment, maintaining a comfortable temperature and humidity through low energy passive means.

The lush greenhouse also creates a space which encourages a healthy mind and body. As people are naturally biophonic (recent studies have shown a dramatic boost in energy and overall mood when surrounding by plant life) our goal is to embed the human within the vegetation. High oxygen levels will promote a strong mental well-being. Embracing the boost to a visitors energy levels the space will offer a variety of physical activities, yoga, meditation, weight training and aerobics will enhance ones experience of the space. Rather than exercising the body in a stark gym, surrounded by cold mirrors and rubber floors, our visitors will be able to improve themselves within nature, all year round.

The greenhouse is first intended as an escape from the hard unnatural environment of the dense polluted city. An oasis returning to Eden. In a world that is constantly bombarding its inhabitants with pollutants the greenhouse oasis will serve as a model for a new way of living. These new residential spaces will be able to provide inhabitants with organically produced, clean air, food and water. The overwhelming boost to health and well-being after visiting the space will strongly encourage visitors to return, telling their friends and family about the incredible health benefits associated with a naturally integrated lifestyle. Within a short time popularity of the space will encourage further creation of closed loop health centers, expanding the need and desire for healthy living through organic local consumption.
